COS SSC Open Study Space

Our open study space provides College of Sciences students with a convenient place to study, complete assignments, work between classes, or meet with classmates.

Students are welcome to use the space during available hours without a reservation.

Open study availability may occasionally be limited due to Student Success Center events, workshops, or other scheduled activities. Students are encouraged to check posted availability when visiting the center.

COS SSC Huddle Rooms

Need a quieter or more private space? Huddle rooms are available by reservation for students who need a space for individual or small-group activities.

Huddle rooms may be used for:

  • Individual or group study
  • Group projects
  • Virtual meetings or appointments
  • Online interviews
  • Presentations
  • Collaborative work

Huddle rooms are available on a first-come, first-served reservation basis and are subject to Student Success Center usage guidelines.

Reservations are limited to two hours per day per student.

Before You Reserve a COS SSC Huddle Room

To help keep resources available for as many students as possible:

  • Please reserve only the time you expect to use.
  • Arrive on time for your reservation.
  • Cancel or update your reservation if your plans change.
  • Follow posted room and Student Success Center guidelines.
  • Leave the space clean and ready for the next student.

Availability may change depending on center programming, events, and operational needs.

COS SSC Poster Printing

The College of Sciences Student Success Center offers free research poster printing for College of Sciences students. Whether you're presenting at a research symposium, conference, or academic event, we're here to help you prepare your poster.

Printing Guidelines

  • Eligibility: Available to College of Sciences students only.
  • Cost: Individual student research posters are printed free of charge. Departments requesting multiple posters may be charged for printing materials.
  • Processing Time: Allow up to five (5) business days for printing.
  • File Requirements: Posters must be submitted as a PDF in landscape orientation, sized 36 x 48 inches.
  • Approval: All requests are subject to approval. You will receive an email confirming approval and another notification when your poster is ready for pickup.

Submitting Multiple Posters:
If requesting more than five posters, submit the request form without attachments and email your posters as a ZIP file to cos.success@utsa.edu.

Requesting Your Research Poster Print:
Complete the Research Poster Printing Request Form to submit your request. Please ensure your poster meets all formatting requirements before submitting.
