Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS)

CIAS is developing the world's foremost center for multidisciplinary education and development of operational capabilities in the areas of infrastructure assurance and security. The center conducts scenario-based cyber security preparedness exercises to test an organization's communication, incident response, disaster recovery, business continuity and security awareness.

Center for Innovative Drug Discovery (CIDD)

CIDD provides a diverse array of core facilities and expertise to facilitate the translation of basic scientific discoveries into tangible pre-clinical candidate drugs that can be further developed into clinical therapies for human disease.

Center for Research and Training in the Sciences (CRTS)

CRTS was established to maximize resource sharing of extramural programs with similar or complimentary goals in scientific research and training. General charge of this center is the responsibility of all institutional grants designed to strengthen the capacity of UTSA in the broad area of Life Sciences.

Institute for Cyber Security (ICS)

ICS pursues world-leading research with real-world impact, including development of commercializable technologies and services. Its core competencies in cyber security encompass research excellence, preparedness exercises, training, and competitions.

Institute for Water Research, Sustainability and Policy (IWRSP)

IWRSP serves as an entity that draws faculty within UTSA, as well as water professionals from around the San Antonio area and South Texas region, to identify water-related problems, to facilitate areas of common research interests, to address water resources for individuals, communities, agriculture, and industry, and to build an excellent research, teaching, and service center.

NASA MIRO Center for Advanced Measurements in Extreme Environments (CAMEE)

NASA MIRO CAMEE is focused on recruiting, educating, and mentoring a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate interdisciplinary students to become leaders in earth system sciences, remote sensing technologies, computational fluid dynamics, and experimental fluid mechanics.

South Texas Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases (STCEID)

STCEID focuses on the study of infectious microorganisms and the host immune response to these microorganisms. It is committed to advancing and expanding research in bacteriology, mycology, virology, parasitology, and immunology while training the next generation of infectious disease researchers.
