About the ACS Student Affiliate Chapter
Founded in 1978, the Student Affiliate Chapter of the American Chemical Society has over four decades of history, and today, we are more active and committed than ever. As a student-led organization, we focus on the academic, social, and professional development of students with a passion for science.
Our mission is to build strong connections within the chemistry community, engage in community outreach that inspires scientific curiosity in young minds, and provide our members with valuable opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
As we continue to expand our chapter, we remain dedicated to promoting the exciting and dynamic field of chemistry at The University of Texas at San Antonio and in the broader San Antonio community. We believe that while science can be challenging, it should also be enjoyable and accessible to all. Join us, get involved, and discover how fun chemistry can be!
