Dr. Benjamin Tuggle Visited the UTSA Tuggle Scholars on April 2, 2019
During Dr. Tuggle's visit, he (1) met with the NSF grant team to establish current and future plans for connecting the scholars' program to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service; (2) worked with faculty and students in UTSA's Environmental Science and Ecology (ESE) Department to develop the student chapter of the Wildlife Society at UTSA; (3) helped establish ESE graduate student internships with the Chicago Field Museum; and (4) created a podcast session hosted by a team of UTSA's Tuggle Scholars. In the evening, the department facilitated a great conversations session with Dr. Tuggle, the NSF grant team, ESE department faculty and staff, and special guests from UTSA's College of Sciences. Dr. Tuggle's first visit to launch the UTSA Tuggle Scholars program was a great success, and we look forward to more visits in the future.
