Cal Poly Pomona is located approximately 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles and is in the middle of the greater Los Angeles area. LMU is located approximately 20 miles west of downtown Los Angeles and is just north of the Los Angeles international airport.
Desired academic background of AMSSI students:
- At least one full year of calculus
- Major in mathematics or related field
- Desire to work with quantitative methods and the applications of mathematics
