Postdoctoral Position
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at the University of Texas at San Antonio to investigate circuit and synaptic mechanisms in the auditory cortex. The successful candidate will use optogenetics and whole-cell patch-clamp recordings to examine synaptic mechanisms in vitro, as well as manipulate relevant neural circuits in-vivo to modify behavior.
Applicants must possess a PhD and/or MD degree and have strong background in neuroscience. Experience in patch-clamp electrophysiology, in-vivo extracellular and intracellular recording, and stereotaxic injections are highly desirable.
