The Jefferson Scholars Program provides a breadth of opportunities and resources, including:
- Eligibility for funding to present your research at local, state, regional, and national conferences and potential eligibility for a stipend

Eligibility Criteria
The Jefferson Scholars Program is open to undergraduate students in The University of Texas at San Antonio's Environmental Science program who meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled as a junior or senior in the Department of Biology, Health, and the Environment
- Commit to attending workshops, mentoring sessions, social events, science communication activities, and other functions as requested
- Commit to participate in end-of-year program assessments and focus groups
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 and GPA of 3.0 within major
