Counter-storytelling is used to encourage perspectives that are often untold, subjective, and non-disciplinary; it reduces attrition by affirming the lived experiences. During summer enrichment opportunities and field trip excursions, students will be encouraged to keep a field journal, chronicling their observations and reflecting on their experiences.
