Jaylon Wilson, Program Manager–Undergraduate Programs, Department of Neuroscience, Developmental and Regenerative Biology

What did your journey to UTSA look like?
I started out at the University of Incarnate Word (UIW) as a course/grades/student standing specialists. I moved from there to NEISD as a Registrar for their alternative high school, then came to UTSA in 2013 as a Testing Specialist with Testing Services.

How would you describe your role at UTSA in 10 words or less?
Multifaceted, lots of different sides to my position.

What is your proudest moment with the College of Sciences?
Being selected for my position. We are a small team, so they needed me to hit the ground running so to speak.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
The interactions I get to have with my team, our work studies, our faculty, and students. As I stated, we are small but mighty, I really enjoy my department and what we accomplish daily.

What does your ideal Saturday look like?
Up early, knock things out around the house, then maybe out for some errands. Some weekends, I will head over to Cigar International and enjoy a cigar/drinks with my middle son. Fall/Winter will be camping or hiking or having a fire pit in the backyard.
