What did your journey to UTSA look like?
I started working at UTSA over 7 years ago in the Department of Physics and Astronomy as an Admin Assistant helping with purchasing and vouchers. A few months later, I was promoted to Admin Associate II and learned more about the department operations. Afterward, I joined the COS BSC and worked there for 4 years processing all financial and human resources documents for Computer Science, Math, Physics and Astronomy, and the COS Dean's Office.

I am excited for the opportunity to work as the College of Sciences ASO. This will allow me to have better outreach with our community and help.

How would you describe your role at UTSA in 10 words or less?
I support the college's mission and goals by coordinating administrative, financial and operational processes.

What is your proudest moment with the College of Sciences?
When I recognized my job as a culture of service, prioritizing going above and beyond to provide excellent customer experiences for students, faculty and staff. I believe my job has an impact on the College of Sciences as a whole.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like to see that the work that I do makes a difference for UTSA, by supporting the student, staff, and faculty community. I like to be actively encouraged and empowered to anticipate the college's needs, resolve issues quickly, and deliver a positive interaction at every touchpoint.

What does your ideal Saturday look like?
My ideal Saturday is reading then going to cycling class in the morning. I like walking with my dog and spending the day with my family. If I can throw a yoga class into the mix, then it's a perfect day.
