Anne Rozelle, Administrative Services Officer II, Department of Computer Science

Please tell us about yourself.
I was born in Wisconsin, raised in San Antonio but remain a Cheesehead and Packers fan to this day. I am also mother to two beautiful and talented (adult) children – a 23-year-old daughter and 20 year-old son.

What did your journey to UTSA look like?
My previous employer was Our Lady of the Lake University, where I was employed for five years as the office manager for the social work program. Working at OLLU allowed me to give back to the university after receiving my Bachelor’s degree as a non-traditional student while providing experience to much of the same duties I currently perform at UTSA. This employment opportunity also allowed my daughter to get free tuition for her BBA degree.

How would you describe your role at UTSA in 10 words or less?
My diverse role is often complex, challenging, and creative but always rewarding.

What is your proudest moment with the College of Sciences?
My proudest moments are being able to have worked with over 15 departments and areas thus far and seeing three initiated projects come to fruition. Collaborating with talented and energetic colleagues while working on these projects for Computer Science has been a rewarding, creative outlet. The projects are aimed at increasing visibility of the dept and technology updates for marketing purposes.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy that each day is different and never boring. I enjoy wearing multiple hats while working with a great team of loyal, hardworking, and knowledgeable staff (and faculty) who keep me on my toes.

What does your ideal Saturday look like?
My ideal Saturday involves shopping with my daughter, spending time outdoors, or having "dunch" with a friend, but it always begins with sleeping in, 10 hours minimum.
