Monica Carreon, Assistant to the Dean, College of Sciences Office of the Dean

Please tell us about yourself.
I was born and raised in San Antonio! My husband and I will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary this May. We have two children together, 12-year-old Anthony and 5-year-old Sophie. I've been working in the College of Sciences Dean's Office since 2013. I first started as an Administrative Associate II and worked my way up to Assistant to the Dean.

How would you describe your role in 10 words or less?
Proactive, busy, communicator, scheduler and professional

What is your proudest moment with the College of Sciences?
My proudest moments are seeing our students graduate.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love my job because everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission of serving our students.

What does your ideal Saturday look like?
My ideal Saturday would involve the outdoors with my family. We love camping, fishing and barbecuing.
